The Rag (show) is a weekly video blog (or vlog) showing topical puppet videos.

Featuring the talents of master puppeteers Tim Lagasse and Jim Napolitano,(and now the amazing James Godwin!) the videos are done using a new form of puppetry they created back in 1992 called “Wayang Zerox” (inside puppet joke, sorry).

Tim and Jim would carry around a shoebox full of puppets, two video cameras, a switcher, and a video projector, and perform “The Rag” at various venues and puppet slams around NYC and the tri-state area.

Tim and Jim found that it was much easier to film their sketches rather than finding and schlepping to venues to perform it live, so they had to learn how to publish a vlog. It’s not perfect right now, but it will get better with time. Check in once a week, we may put other weird puppet films on here too.
